David Tatasciore is an audio engineer, sound designer, and music editor based in New York. He was the technical director of the Webby Award-winning podcast Stay Tuned with Preet for six years before becoming the supervising engineer of Vox Media's Today Explained and Explain It to Me.

 

David has worked as a music editor and score mixer for several QCODE podcasts. He is the co-producer and sound designer of What’s The Story?, a fiction podcast that’s both a love letter to public radio storytelling and a satire of “post-truth” America. He is also the sound designer of the award-winning audio fiction shows You’re the Last One, which was named Best Horror Podcast at the 2023 Minnesota WebFest, and Last Resort, which was an official selection at the 2025 Tribeca Festival.

He is a proud graduate of Montgomery County Community College, and received a master's degree in Music Technology from the Steinhardt School at New York University in 2019.
